Our bank provides funding for this state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC) for low-income families. The Florida Tax Credit (FTC) Scholarship Program allows any company that pays Florida corporate income tax the unique opportunity to fund scholarships for underprivileged K-12 school children while earning a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for up to 100 percent of its tax liability to Step Up For Students. The funds provide educational options to students who, because of financial circumstances alone, have none. Through this program, the state has created an opportunity for corporations to partner with nonprofit organizations and low-income families in an effort to create a brighter future for Florida’s children.

Step Up for Students
BAC Guardian Angel Program
The bank instituted the BAC Guardian Angel Program, a bank wide effort that benefits The WOW Center, The Miami Rescue Mission and allows our employees to engage in service. In the interest of providing adults living with developmental disabilities an opportunity to develop initiative, leadership skills and to serve their communities, The WOW Center has a “Good Samaritan Program”. The program allows their individuals to prepare and deliver food once a month to the homeless at The Miami Rescue Mission. The BAC Guardian Angel Program encourages our staff members, individually or as a group to sponsor the cost of the ingredients for the hot meal needed by the WOW Center to prepare the food which will be delivered to The Miami Rescue Mission to be served to the homeless. The food preparation for the homeless takes place at The WOW Center the third Thursday (sandwiches) and third Friday (hot meal) of the month to be delivered to the Rescue Mission the third Saturday of the month. Our staff members who are generous enough to participate in the Guardian Angel Program are extended an invitation to join The WOW Center individuals in the preparation of food.
